John Perumbalath : ウィキペディア英語版 | John Perumbalath John Perumbalath〔(British South Indians )〕 (born 1966) is an Anglican priest and has been Archdeacon of Barking〔(Diocese of Chelmsford web-site )〕 in the Diocese of Chelmsford since 2013.〔(Romford Recorder )〕 Perumbalath was born and brought up in the ancient Syrian Christian tradition in Kerala, India, and was later ordained in the Church of North India. Perumbalath was educated at Calicut University, Osmania University, Serampore Theological College, King's College London and the North-West University.〔‘PERUMBALATH, Ven. He holds post-graduate degrees in philosophy and theology, and a doctoral degree in hermeneutics. He was ordained deacon in 1994 and priest in 1995. After a short curacy at St. John's Church, Kolkata, in 1995 he was appointed Vicar of St James' Church, Kolkata. After moving to England in 2001, he served at Beckenham St George's, Rosherville St Mark's and Northfleet All Saints before his appointment〔(Collation sermon )〕 as Archdeacon.〔(St John, South Hornchurch )〕 He was the chair of North Kent Council for Inter-faith Relations from 2008 to 2013. From 2008 to 2013, he was also the Diocese of Rochester’s Urban Adviser and Link Officer for the Church Urban Fund. He has been on the General Synod of the Church of England since 2010.
